One of adventure and a lot of growing up. I am never bored or without something to get involved in. One of my happiest times is when I visit Baxter State Park for vacation. I live in Old Orchard Beach. I guess I have the best of all worlds living at the beach. You could say I am always a tourist:) Well I have done much since I left school in 1970, all of which I have been blessed to experience. At 33 I gave my life to God, which made the difference that allows me to be happier than I had ever known. I found the peace I always needed and wanted. And she loved to get her hair done on Fridays her updo's and she always gave the student a chance to work at updo's. God Bless her. Another great instructor also, Phylis Tzitzenikos I remember her as positive role model made learning enjoyable and always made you feel that you can accomplished your task either in a finger wave which may have been horrable that day. She would encourage you to work at it a little more or hold the wrapping paper tighter to hold the hair in while doing a perm, she always found time to make us think and laugh. Thank you Mrs T. I thought I would let you know that my brother Jim deceased Sept 5, 1987 From a drunk driver. Jim was in the service (NAVY) for 4yrs overseas and he reenlisted for 5 yrs. He was stationed in Maine at the time. It was his first year in the states, he was coming home to join the family for my wedding when it happened. He wanted to join us for the celebration of my wedding, when we got the call that he was in the hospital dying (brain dead). I have forgiven the person that did this to him because I know he would have wanted it this way. I did get married 3 wks after, his best friend stood in his place. Thank God for his friend. I know to this day that he watches over me and my family. If you want to remember Jim please send my parents a letter of your concern. I know they would love to hear from his friends, staying away is not helpful but hurtful... please remember him I DO and always will. I Love him and always will. I know he is with me always.. I was also a co-captain on the Wrestling team.After graduation, I went to work at General Electric in Lowell. It didn't take me long to realize that what I really wanted in life, was to bust out of town and see the world.Therefore, I joined the Air Force in 1983. Now 20 years later, I am still proudly wearing the uniform. I plan on retiring in two more years with 22 years of service, come June 2005. The best part is I'll get to retire with a nice federal pension. "I think I'll be hitting the golf course." My military career has taken me to 16 countries (Panama, England, Korea, and Hawaii--some of the more exciting assignments) and right now I am stateside in Tampa (MacDill AFB), Florida. I plan on retiring here in Brandon, Florida.Married to my beautiful wife Tilcia; we have two children: Christina, 18 yrs. old and Ricky Jr., 12 yrs. old. For another 2-3 years each, I was an employee of Data General, Sytron, Platinum Software, and FTP Software. In addition, I spent a some time doing contract work at various companies. I am current developing Project Management and Defect Tracking software at Compuware's NuMega Lab in Nashua, NH. In 1997, I received the GLTHS Distinguished Alumni award. My son, David, is a GLTHS graduate of 1998. He is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at UMass Lowell. While at the Voke (I'm going to miss that nickname...), I was a member of the chorus. When I left the voke I went on to the Panama Canal Zone to be the new wife. I later returned home and stayed married for 5 years and had 1 son. I divorced and remarried in 1983 and had 2 girls in this marriage and lucky enough to still be married !!!! I took my GED and graduated in nursing and worked for 13 years as a nurse until the passing of my son in 1995 with cystic fibrosis, at the age of 15. I live in Florida now and just love it !! I then went to work for a company in Virginia Beach, Virginia two years.In 1984, I went to work for Johnson Controls in Norfolk, Virginia as a HVAC mechanic where I worked on large industrial equipment.I am still at JCI and have held several positions, all related to the HVAC industry. I have also written software programs to help customers reduce energy costs and control all aspects of their facility.I am currently managing our predictive diagnostics team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We perform non-intrusive and non-distructive testing on industrial HVAC equipment and on process equipment, to help our customers reduce unscheduled downtime, reduce their risk and increase revenue.I am not married, however, I am engaged and have no kids. | |

Got married in '82, joined the Army '86, served in the Persian Gulf for 11 months (9 of them in a tent in the middle of the bitter cold, and the extreme heat), '90 - '91,(enough said). divorced in '92,. Berlin, Germany late '92-'94, back to Texas, Ft. Hood with a new wife from Germany, divorced her 8 months later, she was a jerk!, and I was lonely. figure it. July '95 my military career ended with a Disability Discharge. Now I see the VA on a constant basis, they still can't figure it out (PGW syndrome..... which they still don't recognize).'95-present live in West Texas, have worked my tail off to get ahead and come up empty. I'm presently single and looking for that career job in Food Service (still), you think with all I've been thru there might be something out there for me.Keeping my head up in West Texas, and would like to hear from the class (I still have the year book, and supplement "WA WA Sings The Blues" real funny guys, back then there was no such thing as Karaoke on 8 track).
