Hurrell Brian Brian M. Hurrell fotoshark@yahoo.com

After graduating I immediately tried the college thing up at New Hampshire Tech, apparently I was not ready to buckle down for more school. I hung around Lowell for about a year then decided to visit my uncle in San Francisco for a couple weeks.  After those two weeks I called my family and told them I would not be coming back to Lowell, pack up my things and ship them to me. It was the best decision I have ever made! I got married when I was 26 after being presented the ultimatum was, ;) got divorced at 28. I have no children that I know of at this point ;) After my divorce I decided I was ready to hit the books again. I went to night school at UC Berkeley Extension for 6 long years to acquire my degree in Computer Science. After graduating, I got a job working for Gap Inc. as a Software Engineer for their Store Systems Dept where I worked for 7 years, I currently work as a Senior Software Engineer for an online casino gaming company in San Francisco and love it! I live in Pacific Heights in San Francisco and commute to work on the cable car. Robin Williams the comedian frequents the Peet's coffee shop in my hood Its funny, I tried to get into Data Processing at the voc and did not get in, I never thought I would be an Engineer commute to work on the Rice-a-Roni cable car!!!.I was thinking it would be fantastic if the voc would publish the year books online. Now that Facebook is connecting everyone, it would be great to see the now and then comparison.Hope you are all successful and happy in you lives.

Kempton Brian Brian Kempton  kempton_brian@emc.com Well, after graduation in 88 I was working as an Electricial Apprentice in the field. With the economy on the down turn back then I was layed off from Shugrue Electic in Dec 1988. So I found another job working for Renaud electric. This was a mistake, I worked extremely hard and when I asked for more money after 6 months I was put off. We were in the middle of a big job at the University of Maine @ Farmington and I was traveling every week up there to work and then driving home on the weekends. When the job was done, I was fired (Oct 1989). Nothing like using me to get the job done and then getting rid of me. So I was out looking for a job without much luck. Then in January of 1990 I gave a resume to a relative in the high tech field and was hired by a small company called Magna computer in Salem, NH. I started there January 4th, 1990 and worked for 6 months and was layed off from there. I was able to get another job in the electricial field within a week through a connection I had made with a friend's brother. I can't remember the name of the company but it turned out the owner of the company was good friends with my uncle. This was a great company but 4 weeks later i got called back to Magna Computer and I couldn't pass it up. The money was better than I was making in the electricial field and I had benifits in the high tech field. So I went back to Magna computer and have been in the high tech business ever since. In 1993 Magna computer was bought by EMC Corporation. So I made the transition to EMC and am still here @ EMC today. I started out as a Tech lead in manufacturing and stayed in manufacturing until 1998, when I transitioned to the Technicial Training Dept. I started out there as a Lead instructor for EMC's Backup and Recovery product(EDM). I did this job for 1 yr and then moved into management within training and had a group of 10 direct reports. I did the management thing for 1.5 years and then, during a reorganisation, I moved from management to be a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Backup & Recovery which, I am happy to say, is where I am today(Aug-2003). I enjoy the work, company, benifits and the pay is good too... Anyone wanting to shoot me an email, please do. It would be great to hear from you.

Wow, it's been a long time. I was just talking to my wife about a possible 20 year reunion. It's been a long and bumpy road since high school. For those of you that remember me, I was in Drafting with Maureen, Carlos, Jen, Mike, Christine and a few others. I enlisted in the Navy duringthe Junior - Senior summer break. In 1991 , after 3 years as a weather observer in Lakehurst, NJ (big change, I know) my time was up and I went back home. After mediocre success as a hotel auditor and front desk clerk (along with a myriad of other dead-end jobs) I moved back to NJ in 1996. I moved in with the woman I should have never left back in1991 to begin with. Fast forward to 1999 and I started my career in Law Enforcement as a Juvenile Corrections Officer in Middlesex, NJ. Then onroutine day in September, my then7-months pregnant wife had what was to be her last OB/GYN appointment. The Towers came down and Christine was rushed into surgery for an emergency C-Section and my son, Matthew James was born...7:17pm September 11th, 2001. Needless to say that was a day I will never forget. Matthew was born premature and spent 6 days in Neo-Natal ICU but thankfully is as normal as can be now. I have three kids now and would change very little. Feel free to email me and we'll reminisce. Eric
