I worked in the field of computer aided design and engineering and then decided to make a change and went back to school. I married my best friend in Dec 1996 and purchased our first home in Dracut ma in May 1997. I attended Middlesex Community College for three years where I studied Life science and ended up graduating with honors in 1998. I then proceeded to build a career in biotechnology working as lab associate in varied disciplines of biology, chemistry and drug formulation. In May of 2003, I graduated From Boston University with a B.S. in Biomedical Science (Chem minor) and on Nov 12th 03, unannounced my Baby girl Megan Elizabeth Dunn was born. She was a preemie and is the light of my life. I am doing what I can to help raise my daughter while my wife finishes her college education. I may go back for grad school or I may not...but I think I can learn more from my daughter than any book or institution can reveal and that's what's so special about being a Dad for the first time. I am currently employed as a Senior Process development engineer for a well known DNA medicines firm and have been there for the last five years developing a first of its kind Anti cancer therapeutic that is awaiting FDA approval this summer. I am proud to say that Greater Lowell exposed me to varied disciplines of study that help mold me into what I am today. All the teaching staff and athletic people who showed an interest in talking with me made a difference in my life and I will always look back at my high school years with pride and happiness. I continue to work as a hairdresser part time and full time as an assistant teacher. My goal is to teach on a fourth grade level in a "regular ed." inclusionary classroom. In May of 2000 I will be married! I am very excited. Updated December 24, 2004 biosketch: I was married in May of 2000. In the past few years, I have received my teacher license from Mass. (both special ed. and elementary ed.). I am currently working full time as a special education teacher of students with emotional disturbances.
