Planning Phase
Summary of Consideration:

1.      Identify the following:

a.       Your information resources

b.      The group resources -- skill sets of each individual

c.       Select a Project Leader to direct your project, keep track of the teams mission and goals

d.      Discuss how each group member can be an asset to the overall goal of the project

e.       Outline firm commitments that support your goals for the project

f.       Outline each members assets and commitments in the Project Proposal

g.      Start an outline to assign weekly tasks for each group member

h.      Complete the Project Services Contract

2.      When Meeting with the Client:

a.       Identify the information you need early and ask questions accordingly

b.      Identify the needs of the client

c.      Make suggestions for alternate projects

d.     Discuss possible options for the project

3.     When planning and designing the information for your client consider these factors:

a.      Research the company/organization to better understand what services they provide the community

b.     Consider presenting multiple options or solutions

c.      Remember professional dialogue always

d.     Check and Recheck any information put in writing to the client. If you state that you will provide a service or product your group will be bound by that written contract.

4.     When designing promotional material apply:

a.      Utilize a color scheme and layout that will grab the audience

b.  Utilize various options for multimedia such as photos by using a digital camera and/or video
