Know Your Community Services Rules

Community Contact
All contact with the client must have prior approval from your supervising instructor. Any contact with the client without approval from the supervising instructor will be grounds for immediate removal from the community service project. Any form of contact such as but not limited to phone calls, e-mail, written correspondence, job quotes, or face to face meetings must have prior approval from your supervising instructor.

Safety
Safety is of utmost importance at all times. The participating community service member is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all. OSHA rules and regulations for all jobs must be followed. If for any reason the job site does not meet OSHA safety regulations, the community service project will be terminated immediately. This is at the determination of the supervising instructor. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Dress Code
While working at a participating community service member site, students participating in the Community Service Learning Project will follow the Greater Lowell Technical High School Dress Code.

Work Ethic
Students participating in the Community Service Learning Project will follow the Greater Lowell Technical High School Work Ethic Code set forth by the supervising instructor. Any student not adhering to the Work Ethic Code will be subject to disciplinary action upon return to the school.
