Preparation for Licensing Exam - day and evening programs
Practical Nursing
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Practical Nursing Program is a 40-week course that includes 1097 hours of classroom and clinical instruction. The clinical experience is designed to assist students in the application of classroom theory within various healthcare facilities in the community. Although the curriculum remains the same, there are two different schedules offered.
Day Division
- Monday - Friday from 08:00 a.m. - 02:35 p.m.
- 40 students admitted every August.
- June 30th projected completion date.
Evening/Weekend Division
- Monday - Thursday from 04:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Alternating Weekends 08:00 a.m. - 02: 30 p.m.
- 40 students admitted every August.
- June 30th projected completion date.

Admission Criteria:
Admissions to the Practical Nursing Program is based upon the following criteria and documentation.
Aptitude Assessment
Completion of Examination and Health Record
Good Health - (completed after admissions to the program)
High School Transcript or GED
Motivation
Education Resources, Inc. Pre-Entrance Exam - (50% composite required as minimum)
Overall Academic Achievement
Personal Statement Interview
Related Work Experience
Resume w/ 3 References
