Hi! Thanks for stopping by AccuPrep — the Accuplacer Prep Website. As you may know, all students enrolling in a Massachusetts state college will be expected to take the Accuplacer or Computerized Placement Test (CPT). I know what you’re thinking! I graduated high school, I passed the MCAS and NOW I have to take another test to get into college? The truth is that you are not taking the test to get into college. You are taking the test to assess your skills in Reading, Writing and Math so that you will be placed in the correct college level classes. It is very important to be prepared for this test and do your best! This test will determine whether you can move directly into classes that will count towards your degree or certificate program, or whether you will have to take some preparation course work to get ready for the college level material. This website will help you to become familiar with the test and will answer many of the frequently asked questions.
