THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION IS ALIGNED WITH THE MATCHING MASSACHUSETTS VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL EDUCATOR FRAMEWORKS.  SOME QUESTIONS REQUIRE A SYNTHESIS OF KNOWLEDGE BASED ON THIS EXPERIENCE AND MAY NOT BE FOUND IN ANY BOOK. HOWEVER, CANDIDATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO STUDY FOR THEIR EXAMS BY REVIEWING CURRENT TEXTBOOKS AND REFERENCE MATERIAL WHICH CAN USUALLY BE FOUND IN THE LIBRARIES OF MOST VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL SCHOOLS AND SCHOOLS WHICH OFFER CHAPTER 74 PROGRAMS.

CANDIDATES WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

 

1. Ability to follow task procedures to manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Correct selection of tools and equipment.

3. Demonstration of work habits to trade standards.

4. Result of completed tasks.

5. Safety.

 

CANDIDATE MUST WEAR APPROPRIATE WORK CLOTHES

AND

SAFETY GLASSES AT ALL TIMES DURING THE EXAM.

 

ALTHOUGH ALL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THIS

EXAM WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE TEST SITE, CANDIDATES ARE

INVITED TO BRING ANY OF THEIR OWN PERSONAL TOOLS THAT THEY

FEEL COMFORTABLE USING.
