Welcome

Welcome to Greater Lowell Technical High School. We believe we can offer you an excellent education to meet the needs of our vital and ever-changing technological society.

Technical education in the United States continues to grow at a dramatic rate. Employers now require a highly sophisticated level of technical training in many industries. Regardless of educational or socio-economic background, there is scarcely an employee today who is not touched and challenged by technology.

The programs at Greater Lowell Technical High School have been developed to meet today’s workforce demands and are constantly being revised and updated to meet the changing industrial, commercial and social needs indigenous to the Greater Lowell area. We have a dedicated and professional faculty committed to providing students an academic and technical education that prepares them for employment and/or further education.

Employers are constantly seeking well-trained individuals who possess specific skills. The programs at Greater Lowell Technical High School are developed with the expertise and involvement of business people, parents, skilled craftspeople and students who live and work in the Greater Lowell community. With an annual graduate placement rate of 92 percent, it is clear that we continue to meet our goals.

Our graduates receive both a high school diploma and an certificate of occupational proficiency, credentials that give them viable options for the future. In recent years, up to 40 percent of our graduates have chosen to attend college full-time. Additional graduates work and attend college part-time, often utilizing the employer reimbursement plan to pay for further education.

Our school takes great pride in the heavy emphasis it places on creating a safe and positive school climate where respect for self and others is fostered. Our faculty, second to none in terms of background and experience, care deeply about the emotional, social and educational growth and development of our students.

I would now like to welcome you to our web site where you can explore our programs and other offerings by clicking on School Tour at the bottom of the page and experience for yourself some of the opportunities we offer to our students and to you, the people who make up the Greater Lowell community.
