In Culinary Arts, students will become familiarized with the world of hospitality. This hands-on shop will have students perform hot food preparation, baking, restaurant operation, as well as working in teams. They will learn the food service industry standards in each of these areas, as well as kitchen, baking and front-of-the-house basics, which include safety, sanitation, and equipment. In their final year of the program, students will have an exam prepared by the American Culinary Federation. Students with successful results will be awarded a Junior AFC Certificate. Students have an opportunity to earn Serve Safe Certification in the program. |
