Technical Programs

In this shop students will be introduced students to the many career opportunities available in the health service industry. Being the second leading industry in the nation, students in this shop will learn the concepts of growth and development, nutrition, infection control, and anatomy and physiology. Clinical experiences may include preschool classrooms, elderly housing sites, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and various allied health care facilities. During their junior year, students will be tested by the American Red Cross for both their clinical skills and knowledge of the requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant.
