Medical Assisting
In this shop students will discover the many opportunities available in the Medical Assisting field. This course includes office management skills, performing routine tests, vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and a variety of other procedures. In their first year of the program, students will learn to perform twelve lead EKGs and if they obtain a grade of 85% or better, they may obtain a certification in EKG. As seniors, students will be prepared to obtain their national certification as a CCMA through the National Health Care Association. Senior students will also prepare for and certify in CPR.
