In this shop students will discover the many opportunities available in the Medical Assisting field. This course includes office management skills, performing routine tests, vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and a variety of other procedures. In their first year of the program, students will learn to perform twelve lead EKGs and if they obtain a grade of 85% or better, they may obtain a certification in EKG. As seniors, students will be prepared to obtain their national certification as a CCMA through the National Health Care Association. Senior students will also prepare for and certify in CPR. |
