In this shop students will be exposed to the careers available in the Metal Fabrication trade. They will become familiarized with the equipment, power machinery, hand tools, and welding joining process. Students will develop their skills in math, measuring, and blueprint reading. Safety, tool recognition, and machinery capacities will be emphasized. Projects include fabricating and weld each student’s personal tool box. Occupations in this field include factory representative, welding engineer, welding inspector, grinder, and shear operator. |
