Technical Programs

In this shop students will learn the fundamentals of the Painting and Design field. Students will learn the techniques of interior and exterior painting, wood finishing, wall covering, faux finishes, estimating and job plan, and safety practices. During their final year, students will work with various types of spray painting such as conventional, airless, and HVLP. Students will develop speed, accuracy, and a greater understanding of the trade when applied to business practices, preparing job estimates, figuring material and label cost and time allotments for certain jobs.
