Senior student Kevin Veiga was chosen as Senior Student of the Month.  Kevin is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Middle School.  Kevin is involved in our plumbing shop and is on COOP during his shop week.  Kevin received awards in Plumbing and Heating and for perfect attendance.  He works at Market Basket and works as a plumber during the summer.  Kevin is also a member of the Boys Varsity Soccer team.  His hobbies include playing sports and talking to friends.  His future plans are to obtain his Master Plumbing license.

Kristine Golden has been chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Kristine is a resident of Lowell entering from St. Michael’s School.  Kristine is involved in our Culinary Shop.  She is a member of Skills USA and has received awards in Culinary Arts and for perfect attendance.  Kristine works at Market Basket as a Front End Manager.  Her hobbies include baking and spending lots of time with family and friends.  Her future plans are to obtain a four year degree in business administration and open her own business.

Sophomore student Nicole Caron has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.   Nicole is a resident of Lowell entering from Wang Middle School.  Nicole is a high honor student ranked number one in the sophomore class.  She has received awards in Physical Education, Marketing, Office Technology, and College Algebra II and is in the Office Technology shop.  She is also involved in Skills USA.  Nicole has delivered the Lowell Sun for (6) six years.  Her hobbies include dancing, swimming and spending time with family and her dog.  Nicole’s future plans are to attend a four year college and obtain a degree in Business.  

Freshman student Jared Nirkiewicz has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Jared is a resident of Dracut entering from St. Louis School in Lowell.  Jared has been involved in Freshman Football, Wrestling and plans on playing on the Baseball Team.  His hobbies include riding bikes, PlayStation 2 and hanging with friends.  Jared’s future plans are to learn a trade in electrical or plumbing.

 

February 2009

This month Senior Student of the Month is Tina Trenholm.  Tina is a resident of Lowell entering from the Robinson Junior High.  She is involved in our Painting and Decorating Shop.  Tina participated in the Drama Club, Planning Committee and National Honor Society.  She has received awards for Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll.  Tina is also involved in Community Service. Her hobbies include painting, drawing, listening to music and singing.

Junior student Brittany Laferriere was chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Brittany is a resident of Dracut entering from Lakeview Junior High School.  She participates in swimming and track and field.  Brittany is a member of GSA, the school newspaper staff, student council, dance team and Skills USA.  She has received awards in Softball (MVP), Swimming (MIP) and Perfect Attendance.  Brittany works as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA.  Her hobbies include drawing, swimming, writing, shopping, photography, helping others and being with friends and family.  Brittany’s future plans are to attend college and obtain a job in the graphics field.

Student Stephanie Morrissette has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Stephanie is a resident of Lowell and involved in our Medical Shop. Stephanie entered from Ste. Jeanne D’Arc School in Lowell.  Stephanie is an honor roll student.  She volunteers for Project Helping Hands and the Lowell Food Pantry.  Her hobbies include the computer, texting, watching hockey and hanging out with friends and family.  Stephanie’s future plans are to become a dental hygienist or orthodontist.

Freshman student Melissa Phetsomphou was chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Melissa is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Middle School.  Melissa is a high honor student.  She babysits after school, loves to play basketball, listen to music and hang out with friends.  Her future plans are to enter the Medical Shop and someday become a RPN (Registered Practical Nurse).

March 2009

Senior Student of the Month for the month of March is Anthony Quinn.  Anthony is a resident of Lowell involved in our Plumbing Shop.  Anthony entered from the Butler Junior High School.  He has participated in floor hockey as well as Skills USA.  Anthony is also a member of our tennis team.  Anthony has received medals for plumbing both in-house and at Skills USA Districts competition.  He enjoys playing sports, mowing lawns, watching movies, listening to music, playing video games and paintballing.  Anthony is an honor roll student that someday hopes to become a master plumber.

Junior student Van Kim Sok has been chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Kim is resident of Lowell entering from the Stoklosa Middle School.  She is involved in our Medical Assisting Shop.  She is a high honors student and received an award for being certified in electrocardiogram.  Kim competed in the Districts for Skills USA in Medical Assisting.  She is on the National Honor Society and a member of the Junior Planning Committee.  She works at T.J. Maxx as well as volunteers at UTECH.  Her hobbies include computers, playing football, singing and spending time with her family. Kim’s future plans are to attend a university and continue to advance in Pharmacology.

Tatiana Chaparro has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Tatiana is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Middle School.  She is a high honors student involved in machine technology.  She is involved in Varsity Soccer, Junior Varsity Basketball and Tennis.  Her hobbies include playing sports and reading.  Tatiana’s future plans are to attend college for engineering.

Freshman student Dan Leclair is the Freshman Student of the Month.  Dan is a resident of Tyngsboro entering from Tyngsboro Middle School.  Dan is an honor roll student involved in our Carpentry Shop.  He is a member of our Football team, Swim team and Track and Field team.  His hobbies include playing football, basketball, lacrosse, swimming and spending time with his friends.  Dan’s plans are to be successful at Greater Lowell.

April 2009

Senior student Kassandra Bevis has been chosen Student of the Month for the month of April 2009.  Kassandra is a resident of Dracut and is enrolled in our Culinary Arts program.  Kassandra entered Greater Lowell from Dracut Junior High.  She is a member of the Swim Team, Tennis Team, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.  Kassandra is extremely involved in Skills USA as she is the State Skills USA President.  She has also served as Skills State Treasurer and Skills Chapter Parlimentarian.  Kassandra received a perfect Attendance Award, worked Community Service Clean Up at Hopkinton Summer Day Camp, volunteered at Timberland Serva Palooza Town Park clean-up in Dover, NH, participated in Community Service at Greater Lowell and fundraised for the underprivileged children’s holiday party.  Kassandra works Co-op for Aramack at school.  Her hobbies include sports, music, art and activities at Greater Lowell.  Her future plans are to attend Middlesex and transfer to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy to become a dentist.

Junior Student of the Month is Claudia Pino.  Claudia is a resident of Lowell entering from The Robinson Middle School.  Claudia is in our Medical Shop.  She is a high honor student who also maintained perfect attendance.  She loves to play keyboard and sing at her church.  Claudia also helps her mother with daycare.  Her hobbies include basketball and hanging out with friends and family.  Claudia’s future includes plans to become an RN.

Sophomore Jonathan Breton has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Jon is a resident of Dracut entering from Franco American School in Lowell.  Jon is a high honor student involved in Automotive Technology.  He has received a perfect attendance award along with a shop award.  He enjoys snowmobiling, fishing, NASCAR, boating, four wheeling and mowing lawns.  He is also on the advisory board for Auto.  Jon’s future plans are to obtain a good job in the auto industry.

Freshman Justin Guziejka has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Justin is an honor roll student involved in our Masonry Shop.  Justin is a resident of Dracut entering from Pelham Memorial.  He is a member of the JV Baseball Team, a Student Council member, Vice President of the Freshman Class and a Student Council Volunteer.  He enjoys playing video games, hanging with friends, sleeping, basketball and baseball.  Justin’s future plans are to become a Navy Seal or FBI Special Agent.

May 2009

Student Yuri Craner has been chosen Junior Student of the Month for the month of May 2009.  Yuri is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Middle School.  Yuri is in the Medical Shop.  He is a Skills USA officer, a member of the Drama Club and a member of the Newspaper Club.  Yuri is a high honors student that has received awards for citizenship and perfect attendance.  Yuri’s hobbies include jogging, photography and reading.  His future plans are to become a family physician.

Sophomore Student Ian Demers has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Ian is a resident of Dracut entering from St. Jeanne D’Arc.  He is a member of our plumbing shop.  Ian is a member of Skills USA and received a certificate in History for maintaining an “A” average.  He enjoys skateboarding and playing the bass guitar.  Ian is employed by Ray’s State Line Market. He is an honor roll student and hopes to someday become a master plumber.

Freshman student Anastasia Georgousis have been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Anastasia entered from the Wang Middle School.  She plans on entering the Medical Shop.  Anastasia belongs to the Drama and Anime Club.  She also volunteers and works part-time at Market Basket.  Her hobbies include drawing and writing.  Anastasia’s future plans are to travel.

Freshman student David Harmon is also Freshman Student of the Month.  David is a resident of Dracut entering from Lakeview Junior High.  David is in the CADD Shop.  He helps out with the Doughboy Wrestling Club.  His hobbies include the guitar, drums and bass guitar.  David’s future plans are to work in 3D engineering and continue to play his guitar and drums.

Senior Lawrence Teague is a resident of Tyngsboro and is involved in our Graphics Shop.  Larry entered from Tyngsboro Middle School.  Larry is a second time winner in his four years and a high honor student, ranked fourth in his class.  He is a member of the Cross Country, Swimming and Track and Field teams.  Larry is an all-star and chosen as MVP for the Track and Field team.  Larry is President and Historian for the Student Council, member of Skills USA, Drama Club, National Honor Society, Community Service member and broadcasts morning announcements at Greater Lowell.  He has also received awards for perfect attendance and the Leadership Academy.  Larry participates in our dual enrollment program with Middlesex Community College and UMass Lowell and works at Brickhouse Pizza.  His hobbies include running, swimming, reading and being with friends.  Larry’s future plans are to attend college and someday start his own business.

Senior student Danielle Frost is our second senior Student of the Month.  Danielle is a resident of Lowell involved in our Carpentry Shop.  She participates on Varsity Volleyball as well as Varsity Track and Field.  She is an honor roll student and received a certificate of achievement for Track and Field.  Danielle is a member of the National Honor Society and received an award for perfect attendance.  Her hobbies include playing the piano, singing, and drawing and designing wedding dresses.  In her spare time she babysits for her niece and nephew.  Danielle’s future plans include attending UMass Lowell and enter into Education and Psychology.

The Junior Student of the Month is Andrew Zielinski.  Andrew is a resident of Dracut entering from Dracut Junior High.   Andrew enjoys paintballing, mountain biking and extreme sports.  He is an honor roll student that received awards in English II, Geometry Outstanding Achievement, Perfect Attendance, Plumbing Level I Special Recognition and Student of the Year at his music studio.  He works at Hot Topic in Salem, NH.  His hobbies include mountain biking, dirt biking, fixing bikes and cars, playing the guitar, drums and trumpet and paintballing.  His future plans are to become a plumber.

Carlos Medina has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Carlos is a resident of Lowell entering from Stoklosa School.  He is an honor roll student involved in our Culinary Shop.  He participated on both our Freshman Football and Junior Varsity Baseball teams.  His hobbies include playing baseball and listening to music.  His future plans include going to college and becoming a chef.

Senior Student Sara Ardila has been chosen for the second time as Student of the Month.  Sara is a resident of Lowell and entered from the Bartlett Junior High.  Sara is involved in our Medical Shop.  She participates in Swimming and Tennis Teams.  Sara received Achievement Awards in both sports and placed second in the CAC doubles tournament in tennis.  Sara is involved in our Spanish Program, Outing Club, Skills USA Chapter Secretary, Yearbook Club, Debate Club, Tutoring, Chapter Business Procedures, Community Service and Student Advisory Council.  Sara has received numerous awards including the Medical Assistant Award (2 years), Third Place Award in Skills USA District Competition in Medical, Fifth Place at the Nationals for CBP and CAC competition.  She works at Dunkin Donuts and Co-op for Greater Lowell at Chelmsford Crossing as a dietician, volunteers at Saints Memorial Hospital and volunteers at church activities.  She enjoys reading, working, shopping, and hanging out with friends.  Sara’s future plans are to attend college and someday become a physician.

Junior student Vanneyra Chum has been chosen for the second time in her high school career as Student of the Month.  Vanneyra is a resident of Lowell entering from the Daley Junior High School.  Vanneyra is involved in our Medical Shop.  She has participated in Soccer, Basketball and Tennis.  Vanneyra is a member of our Planning Committee, Spanish Club, Skills USA and volunteers doing community service.  She has received awards in shop, volunteers for the summer program and is ranked third in her class.  Vanneyra enjoys jogging, tennis, riding her bike, walking, dancing, singing, drawing, hiking, reading and watching the news.  Vanneyra’s future plans are to attend college, travel, enjoy the world and someday be a Leader.

Sophomore Brady McCarron has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Brady is a resident of Lowell entering from the Daley Junior High School.  He is in our Office Technology Shop and is involved in Student Council, Community Service, Debate Club, Yearbook and Skills USA.  Brady has received an award for the Freshman Class Planning Committee and a Citation from the Mayor for Community Service.  Brady volunteers to help others.  Brady’s future plans are to become a teacher. 

Freshman Paige Teague has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Paige is a resident of Tyngsboro and entered from Tyngsboro Jr./Sr. High School.  She is involved in Community Service, Spirit Squad, Student Council and Skills USA.  Paige enjoys babysitting, community service, singing, acting and talking.  Her future plans are to become a physician.

November 2009

Senior student Kayla LeDoux was chosen Senior Student of the Month.  Kayla is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Junior High.  She is in Machine Technology Shop.  Kayla plays Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Softball.  She has received the Booster Award in Volleyball the last three years and the Coaches Award in Softball.  She is a member of the Outing Club and the school Newspaper staff.  Kayla has received awards in Shop in the districts and in-house competitions.  She works at McDonalds and on COOP during her Shop week at Greater Lowell.  Kayla enjoys reading, movies and online chatting with friends.  Her future plans are to join the Coast Guard.

Junior student Abigail Lasa has been chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Abigail is a resident of Lowell entering from the Wang School.  She is a member of the Track and Field team.  She has received awards in College Algebra I, Project Adventure, Who’s Who in America and recently became a Rachel’s Challenge Leader.  She spends much of her time babysitting.  Abigail enjoys hanging out with friends, texting, running and laughing.  Her future plans are to attend U.Mass Lowell and become a Registered Nurse.

Chakriya Boeun has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Chakriya is a resident of Lowell entering from the Daley Junior High School.  She participates in Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and Softball.  She also has been nominated as a CAC all-star and received the Booster Award.  She is an honor roll student who enjoys friends, sports, drawing and reading.  Her future plans are to play Volleyball in college and someday become an art therapist for children.

Nathaniel Foresti has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Nathaniel is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan School.  He is a member of the Outing Club and participates in Community Service.  He enjoys listening to music and cooking. Nathaniel’s future plans are to own his own bakery.

December 2009

Senior student Adina Srey has been chosen Senior Student of the Month.  Adina is a resident of Lowell entering from the Stoklosa School. She participated in freshman volleyball and basketball for four years.  This year she was named Captain of the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team.  Adina is a member of The National Technical Honor Society, participates in community service and participated in this year’s student video production, “You’re a Germ”.  Adina has received awards as MVP in Basketball, certification in Phlebotomy, EKG and Medical Assisting.  Adina works at McDonald’s and enjoys playing basketball and dancing.  Her future plans are to become an R.N.

Junior student Quincy Ramos has been chosen as Junior Student of the Month.  Quincy is a resident of Lowell entering from the Daley Junior High School.  He is an honor roll student involved in our Masonry Shop.  He has received awards for perfect attendance and the booster award in basketball.  Quincy has participated in cross country as well as track.  He has worked maintenance at apartments during the summer months.  Quincy enjoys working out, playing basketball, playing video games and watching TV.  Quincy’s future plans are to attend a four year college.

Sophomore Amanda Cordero has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Amanda is a resident of Lowell entering from the Robinson School.  Amanda is in the Cosmetology Shop and is ranked fifth in her class.  She is a member of the Newspaper Club and does peer mediation.  Amanda has received awards for the City Wide Essay Contest and the Presidential Award from the State Senate for Community Awareness.  Amanda enjoys reading, listening to music, drawing and writing.  Her future plans are to obtain her cosmetology license, attend college and someday she will own her own salon.

Freshman Samantha Rosa has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Samantha is a resident of Lowell entering from the Daley Junior High School.  She is a high honor student ranked number one in the freshman class.  Samantha also has perfect attendance this year.  Her hobbies include reading, drawing and watching movies.  Her future plans are to get into the CADD program and graduate from a four year college.

Senior student, Chelsea Swain has been chosen Senior Student of The Month for January. Chelsea is a resident of Lowell and is involved in our Painting and Design Shop. Chelsea entered from the Wang Junior High School. She is a member of our Varsity Soccer Team. Chelsea has received many awards including Honor Roll, Outstanding Achievement Awards and Perfect Attendance. In Chelsea’s free time she enjoys dancing and babysitting. Her future plan is to be an Art Therapist.

Junior student, Curtis Hamilton has been chosen Junior Student of The Month for January. Curtis is a resident of Lowell entering from Daley Junior High School. Curtis is a member of the Plumbing Shop. He is currently a member of the Varsity Basketball and Varsity Baseball team. Curtis has received many awards including the AAU All Tournament Award, Outstanding Achievement Award, and Special Recognition Award for Plumbing. His hobbies are baseball and basketball. Curtis’ future plans are to attend college and become a professional baseball player.

Sophomore student, Cynthia Tounn has been chosen Sophomore Student of The Month for January. She is a resident of Lowell entering from Daley Junior High School. She is involved in our Culinary Shop. Cynthia is a member of the Cross Country Team. Cynthia was ranked 3rd in her freshman class. She has received Perfect Attendance Awards since 5th grade. She enjoys cooking, playing sports and loves writing poetry. Cynthia’s future plans are to travel the world and meet new people.

Freshman student, Karina Sanchez has been chosen Freshman Student of The Month for January. Karina is a resident of Lowell entering from the Sullivan Junior High School. Karina is part of the Outing Club, Yearbook Committee, Homework Club and Girl Scouts Club. Karina has received many awards including Perfect Attendance, Respect and Responsible Student, and High Honor Roll Award. Her futures plans are to graduate from Fitchburg State College and become an Elementary School Teacher.

February 2010

Senior student Sara Sequeira has been chosen Senior Student of the Month.  Sara is a resident of Lowell entering from the Rogers Jr. High.  Sara is in our Marketing Shop and has been chosen as Student of the Month for the second time during her high school career.  She was a four year starter for the Girls Varsity Soccer team.  This year she was the team Captain, MVP, Conference All-Star and Lowell Sun All-Star.  Sara helped lead the team to the MIAA Division 3 North Sectional Championship.  She is a member of DECA and the National Technical Honor Society.  She has received awards for Perfect Attendance, Marketing Awards, and 5th Place in DECA Districts. Sara is ranked in the top 10 of her class.  She works Co-op in our Discipline/ Attendance Office.  She enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends.  Sara’s future plans are to attend UMass Lowell and major in psychology.

Junior student Mathew Plourde has been chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Matt is a resident of Lowell entering from the Robinson School.  Matt is involved in our CADD Shop.  He is a peer tutor and was involved in Spanish after school.  His awards include Top 10 in his class, participation in American Mathematics, Perfect Attendance and Special Recognition in Shop.  He is employed at Market Basket.  Matt enjoys hanging with friends, reading and playing video games.  His future plans are to attend college and major in architecture or engineering.

Sophomore student Shela Davis has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Shela is a resident of Lowell entering from the Butler Middle School. She is a high honor student and has received awards in both History and English.  Shela enjoys listening to music, hanging with friends and reading.  Her future plans are to become a doctor.

Freshman student Tyler Mahoney has been chosen Freshman Student of the Month.  Tyler is a resident of Dracut entering from Lakeview Junior High School.  He is a member of the Freshman Football Team and Junior Varsity wrestling.  Tyler is an honor roll student.  He enjoys fishing, sports, swimming and bike riding.  His future plans are to attend college.

Congratulations to senior student Christine Rocha for being chosen Senior Student of the Month.  Christine is a resident of Lowell entering from the Butler Jr. High.  Christine is involved in our Medical Shop.  She is an honor roll student, received honors for perfect attendance, and is a certified medical assistant.  In her spare time Christine waitresses at Good Thymes Restaurant in Lowell.  She enjoys basketball, writing, poetry and scrap-booking.  Christine’s future plans are to become a registered nurse.

Junior student Thavy Sree has been chosen Junior Student of the Month.  Thavy is a resident of Lowell entering from the Rogers Jr. High School.  Thavy is in the Medical Program.  Thavy has received high honors and is currently ranked eighth in the Junior class.  She is a member of SkillsUSA and has received an award for third place in the team competition.  Her hobbies include listening to music, eating, taking naps, playing basketball, football and hanging out with friends and family.  Her future plans are to attend college for nursing.

Sophomore student Kyle Gere has been chosen Sophomore Student of the Month.  Kyle is a resident of Dracut entering from Lakeview Jr. High School.  Kyle is a member of SkillsUSA and our baseball team.  He is an honor roll student currently ranked eighth in his class.  Kyle is in our Plumbing Program.  He enjoys golf, baseball and being with friends.  Kyle hopes to someday start his own plumbing business.
