Named the co-MVP of the Commonwealth Athletic Conference Large School Division, a three-time league all-star and team MVP and a two-time Sun All-Star, Torpey was the No. 1 reason why the Gryphons finished with a 17-3 regular season record, the third best mark in program history. A senior southpaw pitcher/first baseman, Torpey was 7-2 with one save and an 0.73 ERA on the mound. In 57.2 innings, he gave up just six earned runs and had 105 strikeouts. Over the past two seasons, he was 12-4 with 180 strikeouts in 104 innings. At the plate, he finished with a .356 average, three home runs and 17 RBI. The Dracut resident also posted a 3.9 grade point average.
