More than 550 students and thousands of proud family and friends packed the Tsongas Center Friday to celebrate the 50th commencement exercises for the Greater Lowell Technical High School Class of 2024.
It was a boisterous and joyous celebration and each student was cheered by their peers as they received their diploma from School Committee Chair Matthew Sheehan and shook hands with Superintendent-Director Jill Davis. Unlike other commencement ceremonies, all the newly minted graduates are also OSHA certified. Receiving certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is part of the curriculum for students at the trade school.
