News Post:

The Savanna Bananas huddled around Amy Malavich, all are wearing their purple "Catch Kindness" shirts.

Student Amy Malavich, who lives with MPS 1, a rare enzyme disorder affecting organs, bones, and tissue, is a wish recipient with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and represented Greater Lowell with her family in Savannah, GA, while embodying our core values and spreading kindness.

We are so proud to share a beautiful example of what it means to live out the core values of Greater Lowell Technical High School. Amy Malavich recently had her wish granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and traveled to Savannah, Georgia, to spread kindness with her favorite baseball team, the Savannah Bananas. During her trip, player Bronson “Bronny” Balholm helped Amy make an even bigger impact by giving out roses with kind messages to members of the community. Amy’s story reflects the very best of who we are at GLTHS. She demonstrates Respect by valuing and uplifting others through kindness; Integrity by using this special experience to bring positivity to those around her; Collaboration by working alongside others to spread joy; and Commitment through her dedication to making a meaningful difference. Her actions remind us that even the smallest gestures of kindness can have a lasting impact and that we can achieve more when we come together as a community.

Thank you, Amy, for representing Greater Lowell Technical High School so beautifully and for inspiring all of us to continue living our core values each day.
