April 9-11th, at the UMASS Lowell Model UN Conference, Greater Lowell students competed against 10 other local schools, with a total of over 150 delegates. Our delegates were assigned the countries Denmark, Germany, Poland, and Nigeria, where they had to present clear arguments to their committees, ranging from NATO and the Security Council to the Socio-economic Council and UN Women. Our students performed well, presenting position papers the week prior and working with other countries throughout their delegations to create allies and present clear arguments for their designated country.

In the end, David Roy was presented with the gavel for best delegate in the NATO conference. After four years of being a Model UN member, David finally earned the top prize, and we could not be happier for him.

We are very excited about next year's conferences and are sad to see our seniors leave, as they have been with us since their freshman year. They have helped build a wonderful club, and we are forever grateful for their diligence and assistance in helping the underclassmen throughout the years.
