Physical Education/Health
Greater Lowell Technical High School’s Physical Education/Health program offers students an array of experiences to promote lifelong physical and emotional health and wellness. Students have opportunities to swim, “climb the walls” on the High 5 Adventure course, and gain essential life-saving skills through first aid and CPR training. Ninth-grade students begin their health and physical education with Teen Health and Physical Education 9th, introducing them to foundational topics in nutrition, safety, physical well-being, mental health, and fitness.
Our campus features outstanding facilities, including a large indoor pool, two gymnasiums, a fully-equipped weight room, a High 5 Adventure course, and extensive outdoor fields. Junior and senior physical education classes emphasize healthy lifestyle skills such as swimming, weight training, cardio, tennis, and more, encouraging students to develop lifelong fitness habits. Through these courses, students build physical skills, self-confidence, and a commitment to maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle.
