Substitute Teaching Opportunities

If you are interested in substitute teaching, please complete the GLTHS employment application and Substitute Application. You may apply as outlined above for open positions.  As a substitute teacher for Greater Lowell Technical High School, you are an essential and valuable part of our educational team. Background Checks on Final Candidates

A MA criminal background check is part of our selection/hiring procedures. Individuals will be required to provide a completed MA CORI form with required identification to the school district. There is no fee for the MA criminal background check. In addition, new hires for the 2013-2014 school year and thereafter, are subject to, and their employment is contingent upon, the new finger-print based national criminal background check. The fee is $55.00 for employees holding an educator license and $35.00 for all other employees. Per Massachusetts Laws and Regulations, the school employer shall require a new national criminal history check at the individual’s expense. Further details will be provided to candidates during the latter stage in the hiring process.
