Electronics Engineering
The Electronics Engineering program explores the basic principles of all facets of electronics technology. Students participate in a range of projects to learn fundamentals of analog and digital equipment, programmable logic, robotic devices, and data communications.
Students in this program have access to UMass Lowell Early College courses during their junior and senior years. These tuition-free courses, taught by university faculty during the regular school day, align with the technical program to accelerate progress toward degree requirements. Along with earning college credit, students participate in on-campus experiences that enhance college readiness, connect learning to career pathways, and support a successful transition to higher education. - Build, test, and troubleshoot analog and digital robotic devices
- Utilize analog and digital test equipment for troubleshooting and repair
- Apply skills to programmable logic controllers to reinforce electronic and computer science fundamentals

- Utilize data communications equipment using modems to connect computers through networks
- Construct and analyze a local area network using industry-standard software
- Learn the fundamentals of microprocessor-based electronic equipment.
