Engineering Technology

Engineering Technology is characterized by focus on application and practice, and by its approximately 50/50 mix of science and engineering theory and laboratory experience. Engineering technologists are employed across the technological spectrum, and are most suited to areas that deal with problem-solving, hardware application, implementation, and production.  Additionally, conceptual design and research functions in classic engineering are interwoven throughout the program.  Engineering Technology is the profession in which knowledge continues to develop through higher education, experience, and practice; it is devoted primarily to the implementation and extension of existing technology in such areas as product improvement, manufacturing, engineering communication, and operations.
