Title I Schoolwide Program

Greater Lowell Technical High School has a school-wide Title I program. Title I provides federal dollars to help ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards. At Greater Lowell Technical High School, funds are used to provide supplemental educational support for students currently performing below grade level in English and/or mathematics. Students are identified as needing services based on multiple criteria; including Stanford Achievement 10 results, previous MCAS scores, middle-school grades, and teacher recommendations. To support student growth, Greater Lowell Technical High School will provide high-quality instructional programs that will improve literacy, numeracy, and study skills.

As a Title I school, Greater Lowell Technical High School will work with families to ensure that children have exceptional support and access to grade-level curricula. The Title I Department works as a team with the School Counseling, Special Education, Language Acquisition, ELA /Social Studies, Math/Science, and all CTE Departments to keep parent(s)/guardian(s) involved in an effort to ensure student readiness for career, college, and citizenship in the 21st-century. At Greater Lowell Technical High School, the goal is to challenge and support students as they realize their individual potential for personal and professional success.
